Employment-Oriented Training Strategy For Graduates In Systems Engineering, Technical Skills And Results Orientation
Abstract
The objective of this work is to complement the training aimed at employment, of the graduates in Systems Engineering and the evaluations on generic competences were analyzed. A descriptive empirical methodology based on observation, documentary analysis and questionnaires was used, using quantitative and qualitative data. A needs analysis was carried out, specific skills were identified and specific courses were set up to develop them within a Master's program. The results show the need to improve the curriculum of engineers in the following skills: technical and specific skills, mastery of their area/discipline; analytical thinking; ability to use computer tools; ability to write and speak in foreign languages; technical skills and results orientation, concentration and abstraction, quality orientation and international skills. In conclusion, the need to develop a series of key competencies through postgraduate training was highlighted.
