Abstract
Charity is something that has increased over the last 30 years and in 2008 a world record was broken for charity fundraising. With several organizations devoting themselves to charity, it can help to intensify competition between them. With increased competition in a market, the need to have a strategic marketing plan that contributes to competitiveness grows. This paper examines how charities can strengthen their brand and develop the trust of their donors via social media. brand is something that is constantly being developed. It can be compared to a puzzle, where all the pieces must together form a whole. In order for an organization to be able to create a strong brand, they need to have uniform communication that spreads beyond the entire organization. Trust is created when a contributor has the opportunity to get to know an organization, through experiences, activities and commitment a relationship is created which in turn benefits both the organization and the contributor.
